OLYMPIA — The state Department of Commerce has filed draft rules for community-scale weatherization projects following a bill passed during the 2026 legislative session that increases funding opportunities for such work.
House Bill 2338 adds a section to the existing state weatherization statute creating a pathway for Commerce to fund new community-scale weatherization projects, including “multiple dwelling units in the same neighborhood or area where overlapping factors such as environmental, social, or economic conditions may adversely impact residents.”
