Nintendo profits up, but sales down

TOKYO (AP) — Japanese video-game maker Nintendo has reported an11% improvement in its net profit for April-September, although its sales declined during that period.

Kyoto-based Nintendo said Thursday that its profit rose to $1.4 billion. It said sales during the six months slipped 12%.
