The wheels of justice could sometimes use a good greasing.
A prime example would be a Pennsylvania case called Phillips v. Cricket Lighter. Even though the underlying events took place over 10 years ago, the case still has never gone to trial. It has, though, been argued four times at the trial and appellate court levels, and will likely soon pay a second visit to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
