Scott Surdyke missed the mark on many significant points in the Real Estate Marketplace Northwest (Dec. 10, 2009) article Pioneer Square gets ready for change. Two of the companies he mentioned will soon be vacating Pioneer Square: Trattoria Mitchelli is closing at the end of the year and Elliott Bay Bookstore is moving to Capitol Hill. ING and Urban Vision projects are not in Pioneer Square but rather in SODO as is the North Lot development of Nitze Stagen. In fact, both stadiums are in SODO, not Pioneer Square. The whole of the south downtown project is in SODO. The article also failed to mention the infighting taking place among the various groups in the Square.
