NEW YORK Now that the Federal Reserve has hinted that its series of interest-rate increases may soon end, some investors are already getting excited about the prospects of what that could mean for stocks.
Maybe too excited. That's because they are counting on a repeat performance of the multiyear, super-sized rallies that came as the central bank concluded its tightening cycles in the 1980s and 1990s.
