Get ready for 80% hike in OSHA fines

  • OSHA says the stiffer fines will make workplaces safer. The AGC says it's too sudden and too steep.

    A new proposal by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration to impose stiffer fines for workplace violations is designed to ensure safer workplaces across the United States.

    The fine increases, according to Anne Soiza, assistant director for the state's division of Occupational Safety & Health, should help curb future safety violations in Washington and the U.S.
