Everett-based Mayes Testing Engineers has opened a Portland office and laboratory and hired James H. Standen as the branch manager. Standen has over 27 years of engineering experience in the fields of construction materials testing and inspection, and structural building evaluation. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit and is a licensed professional engineer in Oregon.
