The Associated General Contractors of Washington recently installed officers and trustees for 2002 and handed out achievement awards at its annual meeting. The Contractor of the Year award was given to Gary Jones of S&W Utility Contractors in Lakewood for his contributions to racial and gender diversity. The Affiliate of the Year award went to Doug Roach of Groff & Murphy in Seattle for his work in representing the association in court over the six-year contractor statute of repose. The association's 2002 officers include: President Bob Adams of Guy F. Atkinson Construction Corp.; First Vice President Kurt Hildebrand of Lease Crutcher Lewis; Second Vice President Wilf Wainhouse of Sellen Construction Co.; Secretary/Treasurer Philo Hall of Lease Crutcher Lewis; and Past President Bill Alexander of Edifice Construction Co. The 2002 board includes: Seattle District Vice President Joe Simmons of Joseph S. Simmons Construction; Northern District Vice President Marlin Statema of Andgar Corp.; Southern District Vice President Kevin Ash of Blue Sky Landscape Services; Central District Vice President A. Douglas Barduhn of Inland Fire Protection; William Taylor of Wilder Construction Co.; Chris Buchanan of Charter Construction; David Huber of Impero Contracting; Brett Ferullo of Northwest Construction; Jeff Woodworth of Woodworth & Co.; Ted Cook of PCL Construction Services; Mike Ducey of W.G. Clark Construction; Jason Decker of Elcon Corp.; A.
