Marc Chavez has been elected 2002-2003 president of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute. Chavez works at the Seattle office of Merritt+Pardini and holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Idaho. He will head a new board for the chapter that includes president-elect Nora Vivarelli of T&A Supply, vice president David Walter of Coastal Atlantic Associates, secretary Teresa Swick of Teresa Swick Associates, and treasurer Robert Simmons of R.W. Simmons & Associates. The chapter's board of trustees includes architect Sam Morris, Terry Decker of Parker Paint, Anne Whitacre of Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership and Garth Tait of Hartung Glass.
