A long-standing feud involving a developer, a carpenter's union and an activist organization over the construction of a mixed-used, multimillion-dollar development on a stunning but highly polluted bay outside Tacoma is now the subject of a federal lawsuit.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Tacoma on Wednesday by developer Michael Cohen and Silver Cloud Inc., his hotel chain partner, accuses the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters and the organization Jobs with Justice of defamation, trespassing, threatening activities and interfering with business.
