Rushforth Construction

Tacoma-based Rushforth Construction was awarded a 2010 STEP Platinum award for safety from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. The Safety Training and Evaluation Process program gives contractors a method to develop and measure their safety programs. To earn a platinum-level award, companies must have a recordable incident rate of 3.3. Rushforth's RIR was 1.75 in 2009 and is 0.0 so far in 2010. Rushforth is a subsidiary of Adolfson & Peterson Construction.
