Volunteers build cabin in Tongass Forest

KETCHIKAN, Alaska (AP) — Southeast Alaska residents and visitors now have the option of renting a new U.S. Forest Service cabin at a site which has been closed for more than a year.

Finishing touches were recently put on the new Kegan Cove cabin in the Tongass National Forest on the southeast side of Prince of Wales Island. The cabin has been a favorite spot for some Southeast residents.
