Kristine Young, CEO of Des Moines, Iowa-based Miller the Driller, last week became the first woman president of the Associated General Contractors of America. Young is overseeing the group's effort to boost demand for construction by enacting pro-growth tax and trade policies and advocating investment in the nation's aging infrastructure. Other officers inaugurated were: Joseph Jarboe, senior vice president of Clark Construction Group of Bethesda, Md., senior vice president; Paul Diederich, president of Industrial Builders of West Fargo, N.D., vice president; and Howard Pebley, president of McAllen Construction of McAllen, Texas, treasurer.
