$15M runway work starts in Burlington

BURLINGTON — The Port of Skagit is starting the first phase of a $15.3 million two-year project to improve the main runway at Skagit Regional Airport.

Runway 10-28 was built by the U.S. Navy during World War II. Funding from the Federal Aviation Administration will cover 95 percent of the design and construction cost.
