New rules for work in city right-of-way

SEATTLE — The city has released an update of its Standard Specifications and Plans for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. These standards apply to all projects — public and private — where construction is done in city right-of-way.

Seattle Public Utilities revises construction standards every three years. The 2014 update has more than 150 changes to construction standards.
