West Valley Highway gets $2M upgrade

TUKWILA — Crews from Tucci & Sons are grinding the surface of West Valley Highway near Southcenter as part of a $2.3 million pavement preservation project.

“We're going to remove a mile and a half of old, cracked roadway and put down a new layer of pavement,” said WSDOT project engineer Aleta Borschowa in a news release. “In addition, we're going to fix a corner of the Longacres Way intersection that has been sinking over the years.”
