Manchester model home ready to tour

Rush Residential is holding a grand opening this weekend for its 15-lot Blackstone development in the Kitsap County community of Manchester.

Rush is building the homes along East Commons Court, which is off Puget Drive East and east of Port Orchard. Two are finished and three are under construction.

Rush describes the homes as “mid-century inspired (with) simple lines and extended living spaces from the inside to the outside.”

Prices start in the mid-$400,000s and the homes range from 2,813 to 3,279 square feet. Many have outdoor living areas and all have granite or quartz countertops, energy-efficient furnaces and tankless water heaters.

“Manchester is a unique part of Port Orchard,” said Scott Walker, Rush Residential vice president, in a news release. “We took a risk, but are confident that Blackstone will be attractive to people with discerning taste who are able to recognize the value in materials and want a home with distinctive style.”

Ed Aro and his team from Windermere are handling sales. The preferred lender is the James team at On Q Financial.

Tours of the furnished model home will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Rush Residential has three other developments open in Gig Harbor and a fourth in Puyallup. Next year it plans to open three more: the 21-lot Alders Edge and 35-lot Arbors at Red Hawk, both in Puyallup, and the 62-lot Legacy in Gig Harbor.
