SEATTLE — Sound Transit has issued a request for qualifications for the civil construction management contract for Lynnwood Link. Responses are due Dec. 11 for the project, which has a budget of $850 million to $900 million.
A notice appeared in the DJC Oct. 23. A pre-bid meeting is set for noon Nov. 9 in the Ruth Fisher Board Room at 401 S. Jackson St. in Seattle.
Teams must have expertise in retained cut, aerial guideways, trackwork, and constructing stations and parking garages for light rail, as well as experience managing GC/CM contracts.
The project involves building 8.5 miles of transit guideway from Northgate Station along Interstate 5 to Lynnwood Transit Center. It will be done under three heavy civil GC/CM contracts: two for civil work and one systems.
This contract includes construction management of two civil GC/CM packages. Phase 1 is preconstruction and Phase 2 is construction management.
