Seattle-based PSF Mechanical is celebrating 120 years in business. David W. Bowen founded Puget Sound Sheet Metal Works, the company that would become PSF, in 1898. It made folding stoves and gold pans for prospectors headed to Alaska. The name changed to Puget Sound Fabricators in 1955 and became PSF Industries in 1967. In the early 1970s, PSF Industries opened a mechanical contracting department that became a separate company in 1991 called PSF Mechanical.
