Maintenance set for Guemes ferry

By JOURNAL STAFF

ANACORTES — Skagit County later this month will take the ferry that runs between Anacortes and Guemes Island out of service for maintenance.

M/V Guemes will travel to Foss Shipyard in Seattle, where it will get a new outdrive, transmissions, drivelines, propellers and emergency fire pumps. Crews also will recoat the deck and hull.
