SR 99 off-ramp opens near tunnel's south end

Traffic using the new northbound SR 99 ramp queues up Tuesday morning at an intersection near the waterfront tunnel’s south end.

Weary morning commuters got some relief on Tuesday, when WSDOT opened the new northbound state Route 99 off-ramp to downtown Seattle. The ramp feeds into a new intersection at South Dearborn Street where drivers can go straight to Alaskan Way and the waterfront, or turn right to access First Avenue, downtown or Sodo.
