Compton Lumber leaving Seattle; old home on First to be redeveloped

Track 6 apparently gets its name from the BNSF tracks immediately to the west.

Fourth-generation family business Compton Lumber sold last year to a Louisiana buyer. Its home for the last 33 years, at 3847 First Ave. S., is slated for demolition. The business will move to Renton.
