County to start new trail segment

TUKWILA — King County Executive Dow Constantine today is leading a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 1.3-mile segment of the Lake to Sound Trail, a 16-mile paved multi-use trail that will eventually extend from Lake Washington to Puget Sound.

This new segment will cross the Black River Forest in Renton and connect to Fort Dent Park in Tukwila. King County awarded a $2.72 million contract earlier this year to Olson Brothers Excavating of Puyallup for the job.
