Nevada firm has low bid for tunnel

SEATTLE — Lane Construction Corp.'s Henderson, Nevada, office was the lowest of seven bidders seeking the largest contract of the $570 million Ship Canal Water Quality project for the city of Seattle and King County.

Lane bid $255 million for the contract, which was estimated at $219 million. The next lowest bidder was a joint venture of Kiewit and McNally, at $297 million.
