Howard S. Wright building 35-story tower in Portland with a Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel

  • It will be the city's largest development in decades, according to the designer, GBD Architects.

    Block 216 will have offices, retail, hotel rooms and condos.

    BPM Real Estate Group announced that Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, is the general contractor for its massive Block 216 mixed-use project in downtown Portland. The site is a former parking lot bounded by Southwest Ninth and 10th avenues, and Southwest Washington and Alder streets.
