WSDOT ready to open last part of I-5 interchange with SR 16

Crews work on the new HOV ramp in this photo taken in August.

It's taken 11 years of toiling with the freeway interchange in Tacoma's Nalley Valley, but the end is now in sight as the Washington State Department of Transportation in the coming weeks plans to open the final piece of the puzzle: HOV lanes connecting Interstate 5 and state Route 16.
