DOE awards $10B contract for Hanford waste cleanup

The team of Aecom, Fluor and Atkins will now manage cleanup at Hanford.

The U.S. Department of Energy has been handing out some big contracts lately, beginning with a $5 billion contract to Hanford Mission Integration Solutions LLC for support services at Hanford and followed by the latest — a $10 billion contract to Central Plateau Cleanup Co. LLC for actual cleanup work.
