SDOT fixing lower bridge to West Seattle

  • The structure has cracks, though they're not thought to be abnormal like those found in the neighboring high-rise bridge.

    The lower span of the West Seattle Bridge swings open for marine traffic.

    The lower bridge connecting West Seattle with the rest of the city has become a much more important piece in the Seattle Department of Transportation's inventory since the upper bridge was closed on March 23 due to unexpected cracking.
