UPS kicks into high gear at its Tacoma sortation center

The Tacoma sortation hub can process over 35,000 packages an hour — about 1,100 in the time it takes to brush your teeth.

It's been a good two-plus years since UPS leased over 770,000 square feet at the Prologis Park Tacoma industrial development. While the shipping giant has been operating inside the massive warehouse for most of that time, it only recently finished building out its regional hub there.
