The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management named Brian Vance as permanent manager of the two offices that supervise cleanup of the Hanford Site. Vance has been temporary manager since early 2019 of the Richland Operations Office and Office of River Protection. He has over 30 years of nuclear industry experience, including a role as project director for removal of contaminated soil at Hanford and as a Navy nuclear submarine officer. Joe Franco continues as deputy manager of Richland Operations and Ben Harp as deputy manager of River Protection. Both are responsible for daily operations of each office.
