City will look at Pier 58 project after collapse

SEATTLE — The northeast corner of Pier 58 collapsed Sunday as the team was removing a concrete section of it to delay further pier movement, the city said in a press release.

Two workers who fell into the water and were quickly removed before the Seattle Fire Department arrived. They were treated by Seattle Fire medics and transported to Harborview Medical Center. As of Monday afternoon, one of the workers had been discharged and the other was in satisfactory condition at Harborview, according to the hospital.
