Divers help remove 4 big piers from the Sammamish River

The bridge’s foundation piers, made of timber and concrete, weighed about 65 tons apiece.

Part of Ceccanti Inc.'s $30.3 million contract to replace the West Sammamish River Bridge in Kenmore includes removing that aging bridge.
