Federal Way train facility could cost up to $1.4B

The preferred site, in Federal Way, is mostly occupied by Christian Faith Center.

The Sound Transit board last week identified a site in Federal Way as the preferred alternative for its south end operations and maintenance facility (OMF). This 59-acre site between South 336th Street and South 341st Place, and Interstate 5 and state Route 99, would cost between $1.1 billion and $1.4 billion to develop, according to the early estimates in the project's draft environmental impact statement.
