Old Kent Kmart building's days are numbered

The old Kmart, closed for about three years now, is facing the wrecking ball.

Kaiser Permanente is seeking to demolish the old Kmart store in Kent so that it can reportedly build a medical facility. The city of Kent a few weeks back issued a mitigated determination of non-significance for demolition, and construction fencing has surrounded the building at 24800 West Valley Highway N. for some time.
