SDOT finishes post-tensioning work inside West Seattle Bridge

Crews recently finished post-tensioning the last of the steel cables inside the bridge.

The Seattle Department of Transportation this week said it has finished post-tensioning the steel cables inside the West Seattle Bridge. The cables are an important step in reopening the bridge, planned for mid-September.
