State replacing Newhouse Building on Capitol campus in Olympia

    The Newhouse Building opened in 1934 as a temporary structure.

    The Irving R. Newhouse Building on the Capitol campus in Olympia is beyond its useful life and needs to be replaced, according to the state. That might be an understatement, since the building was constructed in 1934 as a temporary structure at 215 Sid Snyder Ave. S.W.
