With the federal government's new infrastructure funding and recent investments in semiconductor factories and energy projects, the construction industry looks to have a full plate for several years to come. That all could be stymied, however, by a shortage of workers to build those projects.
A recent national survey conducted by the Associated General Contractors of America and Autodesk showed that most construction firms are having a hard time finding workers — and that is driving up costs and delaying projects.
