21-story U District tower completed

SEATTLE – Crews from Exxel Pacific have completed work on The Accolade, a new 240-foot-tall 21-story tower at 4126 12th Ave. N.E. in the U District. Greystar developed the project which has 226 units of housing intended for students. Floor plans range from one to four bedrooms. The community utilizes a RoomSync app that lets residents pick out roommates. The amenity rich tower has a rock climbing wall, fitness center, business center, club house, TV lounge, rooftop lounge, study rooms, and outdoor entertainment space.

Completion comes in time for the fall semester at the University of Washington. Weber Thompson designed the art deco style tower. The project team also includes Rushing Company who provided MEP design build, energy, lighting design, commissioning and sustainability consulting services.
