Construction starting this week on Pier 58 replacement in Seattle

Pier 58 will be rebuilt in a triangular shape, with an opening near the shore to improve salmon habitat.

Construction of the new Pier 58 and playground is expected to start this week, according to Waterfront Seattle. Pacific Pile & Marine is the general contractor and the construction budget is $34.5 million.
