SEATTLE — Construction began last week on a project that will correct approximately 160 documented barriers to accessibility at the Environmental Learning & Visitor Center at Discovery Park.
Updates include the creation of accessible parking stalls and an accessible bus load and unload zone, new accessible pathways from parking areas to the visitor center, amphitheater, tennis courts, playground, entry kiosk, and trail system and miscellaneous interior improvements to remove ADA barriers at bathrooms, kitchen, classrooms, etc.
