Seattle keeps its second place slot in latest RLB crane count

Seattle added five cranes over the past six months, including these two on the waterfront. Hoffman Construction is using the crane on the left to build the Overlook Walk project, while Turner Construction is using the other crane for the Ocean Pavilion addition to the Seattle Aquarium.

Construction consultant Rider Levett Bucknall yesterday released its third quarter crane index, which shows Seattle retaining second place in the U.S. crane count, behind Los Angeles. For the biannual index, RLB counted 42 cranes in Seattle — an increase of five since April's report.
