Construction Inclusion Week: Ready to create a future of possibilities

Last Friday marked the conclusion of a groundbreaking construction industry event: the second annual Construction Inclusion Week. Co-founded by Mortenson in 2021 along with five other leaders in the general contracting industry, Construction Inclusion Week was created to build awareness of the need to improve diversity and inclusion by providing content and resources while harnessing the construction industry's collective power.

Participation in Construction Inclusion Week 2022 doubled over the year prior, with more than 2,500 firms representing 5,000 project sites and 500,000 workers. Each day focused on a common theme: Commitment and Accountability (Monday), Belonging (Tuesday), Supplier Diversity (Wednesday), Workplace Culture (Thursday) and Community Engagement (Friday).
