New pedestrian bridge opening Friday will connect to waterfront

The bridge has a screen wall and 37-foot fern frond sculpture, both designed by Seattle artist Norie Sato.

Waterfront Seattle is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow morning for the new Union Street pedestrian bridge, which will provide a link to the waterfront from Western Avenue.
