Kenmore asphalt plant loses appeal

KENMORE — A recent ruling by the state's Pollution Control Hearings Board requires that the Cadman Asphalt plant at 6431 N.E. 175th St. in Kenmore must comply with a series of new operating conditions outlined by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.

Last October, the agency issued a Final Order of Approval for a new permit for the plant, which includes new operating conditions related to air quality standards, odor controls and testing.
