WSDOT to shift I-5 traffic to build bridges over creek

Lanes are shifting outward on I-5 to create a median for workers to build bridges.

Motorists may find Interstate 5 a little different this morning as the Washington State Department of Transportation planned to lower the speed limit and shift southbound lanes near Fife. The shift creates more space in the median so that crews can work on two new bridges that will span a realigned Hylebos Creek below the freeway.
