Monument planned for Alaskan Way

SEATTLE – WSDOT is proposing to construct a new monument on the Elliott Bay shoreline to commemorate the history of Ballast Island and its indigenous former inhabitants.

The project is addressed at 603 Alaskan Way and would be located on a Seattle tide lands lot managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
