King County preps $160M transit renewal program

Improvements are planned for several Metro facilities, including the Central-Atlantic (middle of this 2018 photo) and Ryerson (east of T-Mobile Park, formerly Safeco Field) bus bases.

King County Metro is preparing to contract for a $160 million multi-year replacement and renewal program to ensure that the region's transit system continues to operate safely. The work will be performed under what the county calls its Fixed Assets State of Good Repair Program.
