Atkinson gets $479M contract to extend SR 509 from airport

Atkinson’s latest contract, Stage 2, will add two miles of highway from the airport to 24th Avenue South, where construction of Stage 1b is underway — also by Atkinson.

Guy F. Atkinson Construction won a $479 million design-build contract to build a section of new expressway that extends state Route 509 near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Interstate 5.
