Seattle, Tacoma ports ink design deals for big waterway deepening projects

The Seattle project comprises the deepening of the West Waterway at Seattle Harbor from 51 to 57 feet.

The Port of Tacoma (POT) and the Port of Seattle (POS) have each signed a design agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for projects that will improve waterway navigation and allow large cargo ships to berth in their respective jurisdictions.
