ABC: construction backlog slightly higher, contractor confidence sees an uptick

Crews led by Hoffman Construction on Tuesday poured concrete for the Overlook Walk project that will connect Pike Place Market to the waterfront near Pier 58 in about a year.

Industry trade group Associated Builders and Contractors reported Tuesday that its Construction Backlog Indicator increased to 8.6 months in December from 8.5 months in November. Despite the monthly increase, backlog was down 0.6 months from December 2022.
